Why Donate?
I could greatly benefit with your support of my academic and professional career. Each donor would be part of a pool that adds up fast; 50 monthly donors who gave just $1 a month would give $600 in one year. That would already allow me a website upgrade, maintenance or purchase of one or two valuable components of a scuba toolkit, and a couple of dives towards field trips, university research, or scuba license upgrades each year.
Finance facts: An upgraded website costs about $15--20 a month, a single dive trip about $100, long-lasting scuba equipment about $100--300+ depending on the pieces, and every dive license upgrade about $400+.
What will I use donor funds for?
1. Website upgrades. Wix gives me nice options for free, but I could do much more under a paid plan, such as remove the persistent banner ad, add more photos and videos, and increase site publicity!
2. Scuba equipment to improve my dives, such as a dive light for nighttime diving or inflatable signal buoys for emergency preparedness.
3. Professional development: scuba license upgrades and my education.
4. Contributions to renowned marine science and conservation agencies.
